Goodnight Mr Fox
This image of a sleeping fox has proven to be my most popular as far as craft fairs go - sold quite a few on small framed, canvas prints, key rings and notebooks.
It was taken some years ago at one of my first prospective jobs, when I went to a nature centre outside Evesham to capture a few images to see if this company wanted to use my shots for their new website redesign.
I had a lovely walk around the venue capturing the amazing array of animals that were around and this fox had been fast asleep as I approached his pen...and when I was within 3 feet he opened his eyes, surveyed me for a few seconds then obviously deemed I wasn't a risk and went straight back to sleep.
Then managed to get a few shots of him looking truly content - as well as a whole array of other wildlife pics from the day.
As for the job itself, sadly despite producing a series of images that would have looked amazing on their website, the business decided not to use them and just did some themselves, but despite having spent a few hours capturing these images it never felt like a wasted trip as I got to see all these great animals and have a few stunning prints I still sell to this day.
The business in question, maybe they will come back to me in the future when they want things doing professionally.
Thanks for reading and as always, if you would like this as a print head over here, and if you want to read more about the story behind some of my other images here you go
