I had mentioned previously I made a trip to London back in 2015 - the main reason was to see this truly moving tribute created at the Tower of London
I got to the Tower just before night fall, not that it was easy to tell given how dark and cloudy it was, as though the heavens were going to open.
I have to admit expecting to get closer to the poppies themselves, but standing up on the outer wall looking at the vast number arrayed before me, knowing each on of these was a soldier who had given their life for our freedoms was quite a sombre thought.
You know a lot of people lost their lives, but seeing it in a manner you could actually relate to made it seem much more real, more tangible.
I am happy I made the effort to go and see such a moving tribute.
Did you get to see it when it was there? If you did what did you think of it?
