Reflections of gratitude
As I find myself doing some administration tasks, a big part of life as a small business owner such as emails, social media post, reading articles and maybe even some accounts later today I find myself reflecting on what has been my first full year of being totally free from the shackles of a 9-5 job and working for the good of someone else - able to focus on my business entirely.
Yes, thats right, my first anniversary full time in the business was on April 5th 2016 - never made a fuss about it because there were other things occupying me at the time.
However, now I have a quiet moment I feel that I want to say how grateful I am for where my life & business is right now. No longer sat slaving at a desk for someone else's benefit. Yes it has been tough at times but I am still here and things have improved so much, all the hard work that has been put in really has paid off in the last 5-6 months.
This first year has seen me meet some truly amazing fellow small business owners and also those who still work full time but are tirelessly promoting others across Warwickshire, all at their own stage of their journey.
Each and every one of them has been helpful in one way or another, either directly by buying my services, or indirectly by sharing my posts, recommending me, offering advice, tips, help, featuring me on blogs or radio or even just sharing some humour to bring a smile to my day.
It is for that reason I want to thank you all.
Each and every one of you who are now in my life since I started out on this venture to follow my passion.
Thank you all so much for being a part of my journey.
I couldn't be more proud to be part of a truly awesome local business community - long may it continue.
I love my job, the diversity it brings, the personal freedom, the rewards from seeing my work help other businesses achieve more.
